Cognizant Off Campus Drive Hiring As Software Engineer
Role Overview
As an Associate Systems Engineer, you will support IT operations, ensure smooth functionality of essential systems, and troubleshoot technical challenges. This role involves working closely with business units, managing IT assets, and resolving operational issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and hardware.
- Collaborate with business teams and IT teams to manage identities and access privileges effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues and escalations with business priorities in mind.
- Ensure internal infrastructure requirements are met, including laptop/desktop computers and lab equipment.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for operational health and support improvements.
- Manage assets and vendors efficiently.
- Develop and maintain support documentation like FAQs, Knowledge Articles, and Run Books.
- Leverage tools and utilities for operations monitoring and alerting.
- Learn and contribute to new solutions through condensed knowledge transfer sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Eagerness to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of infrastructure requirements such as servers, laptops, and desktops.
- Understanding of scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, or Ansible (a plus).
- Ability to interact with help desk teams and provide technical support.
