About the Role
Cognizant is seeking a talented and passionate DevOps Engineer experienced in .NET, Python, SQL Server, and Azure platforms. This role involves developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications across multiple environments, with a focus on automation, scalability, and performance optimization.
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, continuous delivery, and operational excellence across healthcare product solutions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Application Development & Maintenance:
Develop Windows and web applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF) and Python frameworks. Testing & Code Quality:
Perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to best coding practices.Database Management:
Write and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and DML statements to enhance application performance.Deployment & CI/CD:
Manage application deployment across multiple environments and support continuous integration processes.Azure Cloud Exposure:
Work with Microsoft Azure for hosting, scaling, and monitoring applications; understand cloud design patterns and platform services.End-to-End Ownership:
Handle E2E healthcare product development and provide detailed knowledge transfer (KT) to support teams before production releases.Collaboration & Communication:
Participate in project discussions, client meetings, and audits; provide timely project updates to stakeholders.Innovation & Process Adherence:
Follow organizational policies while contributing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to improve product efficiency and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF).
Proficient in Python programming and web application frameworks.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
Working knowledge or exposure to Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with design patterns and scalable architecture principles.
Ability to understand requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
Experience with healthcare product development is a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
