Position Overview
The Engineer Trainee role is part of Cognizant’s Digital Workplace Services (IT Service Desk) team, providing first-line technical support to clients across various domains. As an Engineer Trainee, you will troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, ensuring seamless operations of clients’ computer systems and IT services. You will also work on leveraging advanced technologies like AI chatbots and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to optimize support processes.
This role requires flexibility to work in shifts, collaborate across global teams, and adapt to diverse technologies and domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Provide first-line technical support for end-users and address IT-related queries.
- Log and track support tickets while ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex problems efficiently.
- Knowledge Management:
- Maintain and update knowledge base articles for self-service options.
- Document processes to facilitate efficient problem-solving.
- Client Engagement:
- Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with clients from diverse communities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech graduates (2024 batch) with a full-time degree in any branch.
- Academic Performance:
- Consistent academic record of at least 50% in X, XII, Diploma, UG, and PG (if applicable).
- No standing arrears at the time of joining.
- Nationality:
- Open to Indian nationals and OCIs currently residing in India.
- Flexibility:
- Willingness to relocate, work in shifts, and adapt to various domains and technologies.
