About the Role
Cognizant is seeking a skilled AI Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure OpenAI Services, Generative AI, and RAG Chatbot architecture. This role involves supporting our OL Chatbot and other upcoming AI-driven solutions. If you’re passionate about building intelligent, scalable, and production-ready chatbot applications—this is your opportunity to make an impact in one of the world’s leading digital transformation companies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) chatbot architectures using Azure OpenAI Services.
Implement document chunking, embedding generation, and indexing pipelines using Python and frameworks like LangChain.
Work with Azure AI Search, Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, and Azure Cosmos DB / MongoDB for AI application development.
Integrate and optimize REST APIs, ensuring seamless chatbot performance and scalability.
Support and maintain AI solutions aligned with Azure security standards (APIM, Defender, Blob Storage).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance chatbot capabilities and implement new AI features.
Comfortable working in night shifts when required.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in Python or C# for automation and AI orchestration.
Expertise in Generative AI, RAG Models, and Prompt Engineering.
Practical experience with Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, and Vector Similarity Search.
Knowledge of Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, Azure Defender, and Blob Storage.
Understanding of Azure Cosmos DB or MongoDB for data management.
Certification: Azure AI Engineer Associate or equivalent preferred.
