Role & Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer I at Mastercard, you will:
Develop an understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and dependent systems.
Estimate and deliver assigned tasks including design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation.
Build secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions within timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with senior developers in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).

Eligibility Criteria & Skills Required
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in IT or Computer Science
Master’s degree in a related discipline (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, JUnit, Messaging, Web Services
Understanding of microservices architecture
Frontend exposure: JavaScript, AngularJS (or similar frameworks), CSS, JSON/XML
Database skills: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle
Familiarity with cloud-based application development
Knowledge of payment domain (especially card payments)
Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
Personal Attributes:

Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
