Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement backend products and modules with a focus on performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Explore and operationalize new technologies within Zeotap.
• Handle escalations and customer issues as needed.
• Act as a consultant to internal stakeholders and provide creative solutions to customers.
• Work with diverse technologies, including business logic, big data, web applications, and event processing.
• Adapt to and utilize emerging technologies in backend development.
• Take complete ownership of features and modules.
• Adhere to Zeotap’s company, privacy, and information security policies.
• Complete all assigned training on time.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in building and deploying high-scale solutions.
• Strong coding skills in Java, Scala, or Go.
• High-level and low-level design skills.
• Solid problem-solving abilities with a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of data access patterns with caching technologies and OLTP databases.
• Deep understanding of NoSQL databases.
• Basic knowledge of distributed systems and design.
• Experience with Apache Spark or other big data stack technologies is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with queuing systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
• Experience with REST web application frameworks.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related fields is preferred.
